Jacob Thomason
Throughout my career dedicated to mental health and addiction, I've embarked on a journey as a licensed therapist since 2010, building upon a foundation in mental health dating back to 2004. Holding a Masters degree in clinical psychology from Wheaton College, my specialization lies in early trauma, encompassing issues like abuse, family conflict, and the intricate dynamics associated with adoption. My therapeutic philosophy emphasizes delving into root causes for sustainable change. Recognizing the profound influence of faith and religion on healing, my approach offers a nurturing space for exploration. From direct care to clinician and director roles, I've gained a nuanced understanding of the diverse needs families face in their healing and growth processes.
In acknowledging the multifaceted nature of healing, I advocate for a holistic approach that combines therapeutic support with clinical expertise and practical knowledge. Personally, my experiences as a son, parent, and husband provide unique insights into relationship complexities, inspiring a collective journey of learning, repair, and strengthened connection. My diverse background aids the work I do with compassionate and informed support that goes beyond conventional therapeutic approaches. Residing just outside Atlanta GA with my wife and three daughters, our values of family, faith, and community guide both our personal and professional endeavors.
